Hi, I’m fils-aimé luidgi joanis
I studied Marketing and International Commercial Negotiation for 2 years, I am a certified community and advanced court interpreter, certified translator and certified English & French teacher with 8 years of experience teaching online and in classroom. I live in Canada, but I had the opportunity to work abroad in private schools in Ecuador, which is a beautiful, tropical country in South America. I speak 4 languages and I am currently learning German.
My main objectives in the classroom are: to engage with students in natural conversation, to improve their reading strategies, and to think critically about the subjects we cover in class. I use varied instructional resources and tools to strengthen their English language skills, I lead self-guided exercises to improve students understanding of sound and symbol relations, spelling, punctuation, and pronunciation practices.
I am passionate about basketball, soccer, tennis, biking, cooking, singing and plants. I enjoy hearing my students telling me about their little accomplishments in life. I decided to name my website SPEAK A LOT because I actually enforce my students to speak a lot, and they have a lot to share.
I know learning a language can be difficult, that is why my charisma and patient are my qualities as a teacher.
